Stacey Swain Hendershott, DVM
Dr. Hendershott is passionate about veterinary medicine and upholding medicine to the highest standard. She strives to make a bond with each and every patient because they are so dear and special. Many call her "Aunt Stacey" and love coming to visit for treats and bonding time.
Texarkana has been home to Dr. Hendershott since 1993. Her grandfather sparked her interest working with animals; she worked alongside him on his farm and breeding English Bulldogs. He always said she wanted to be a veterinarian since the time she could walk. Dr. Hendershott graduated Texas High School with many honors and pursued every opportunity working for veterinarians in the area during that time. Oklahoma State University is where she obtained her Bachelors in Animals Science and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Along the way, she had numerous awards and academic honors.
Dr. Hendershott came back to Texarkana to practice after graduation in 2007. In 2010, she purchased Pleasant Grove Animal Hospital and couldn't feel more blessed. She works beside her husband, Ben, who is a registered veterinary technician. They have a 3 year old son (Trevor), 2 dogs (Luke & Daisy the Dingo), and 2 cats (Tiger & Tater).
Your pets are more than animals, they are family.
Dr. Hendershott is pictured here with her husband Ben and one of her favorite patients Chief Nasty. She saved his life and limb after a severe injury was inflicted by a wild hog in Central Texas. Remarkably he made a full recovery.
